Posted By Ron Impey So far I've produced: Messes Awful - Will Cause A Fall! and Housekeeping Poor - Wind Up On The Floor! Has anyone produced any easy read posters, etc. on this subject, or anything else suitable for use in charity shops that have volunteers with learning disabilities? Has anyone taken any non-copyright photos that would be useful? Ron

Posted By Sean Fraser I've always stuck with "The job isn't finished until its all tidied up". Not very catchy though . . . :-(

Posted By Nicholas Morris Gave the job of coming up with slogans to one of our work experience boys a while back. His best was "Be safe or be sacked!" Sadly we weren't allowed to use this.

Posted By Ian G Hutchings Ron Have you looked at implementing a Kaisen 5S type approach. This works well when properly implemented. Wikipedia describes this in more detail. All the best Ian

Posted By NSO I'm becoming more and more involved in the 5 S approach. It really does make a diference in both our factory and offices, if only to remove well intended saved clutter (first 'S'). The most difficult thing for me personally was clearing my own mess, ie samples of gloves, specs, hearing protection, and my personal stash of over ordered yet to be put up safety signs etc etc etc from under my desk.

Posted By Bob Baynes Ok, here you are; add to, modify, ignore but its free to all: If you leave the place in a tip You’re going to fall or to trip Don’t be so dizzy Get yourself busy And chuck that stuff in the skip To leave rubbish around is a sin So let’s have it all in the bin Put it safely away So you won’t have to say I’ve fallen and injured my shin! When the place is tidy and clean And litter no more can be seen You can be smug Cos you’re not the big lug Who’s let down the rest of the team

Posted By steve e ashton See It Own It Deal with It. SOD IT (Translation: If you see it, its YOUR responsibility to do something about it...) Raises a laugh or two, gets a bit of chatter going, and may even cause one or two people to take action where previously they wouldn't have....
