I was reading an article on this in June's Health and Safety at Work, regarding an initiative in the construction industry, and was thinking that maybe its something we could use in our production environment. Does anyone have any experience or views, or information on suppliers of stickers and similar information?

Hi Nicholas,

From where did you read the article? I'm not familiar with the source you refer to, so maybe others havent either.

You refer to stickers in your article but put Trojan horse in the title ....If the article refered to email virus type trojan horses, regardless of what the message carried I would be completley against this kind of intrusion.

However, if you want to illicit further interest in your post would recommend you include more details

Although done a little differently than what was described in the article, a "Just In Time" safety message approach is common in much of the nuclear industry. The material tends to be designed in house. Feedback on it from staff is generally pretty positive. It is, as the article, says a sort of "last line of defence" (though not literally, of course)

there was a HSE research report a little while ago on the subject of trojan horse messages in construction - I thought it was quite an interesting read.

You should be able to find a copy here:

The ideal person to speak to about this is Derren Brown.

Failing that, we could all learn from the NLP school and improve our methods of communication.

I have tried to introduce similar methods in the past, but have had difficulty getting management approval.
Obviously I went ahead anyway.
