Posted By Peter Hart This is my very first posting so be gentle.......
I'm looking for help from someone more knowledgeable on the subject of Diesel Fumes in places of work and whether there is any precedent in law on the subject.
I've scoured the HSE website and others all to no avail.
Any help would be most appreciated.
TIA
Peter Hart

Posted By Adrian Watson Peter,
Diesel Fumes come under COSHH 2002, as a hazardous substance, and would also be covered by the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 for ventilation of the workplace and by the Provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998 for the source emitter.

Posted By Peter Hart Thanks Nick. Yes I've seen the page the link refers to. Taken a copy too. Thought someone may have a particular case to mind though.
Cheers

Posted By Peter Hart Thankyou John. Just the sort of thing I was looking for. On first glance this is cancer specific. Anything on Asthma and Bronchial Tract problems associated with such fumes??
Long shot maybe :o)
