Another factor I would look at is personal factors i.e. any medical conditions, diability etc.

Thank you, i will certainly include those.
I have included health surveillance on the drivers assessment 7 will include it in this assessment.
Discussing workplans and objectives reguarly will also be included to alleviate stress.

David,
You mention robbery - without revealing sensitive information does that mean the sales people carry expensive samples?
It springs to mind because I used to work on the security side of a large tobacco company. We had a procedure in place for providing a monitoring/ alarm response service for any reps who felt at risk - and we had to put it into operation on more than one occasion.
Security and health & safety do overlap so the risk of robbery - and the appropriate response mechanism - is a factor that I think should be considered.

what about Stress -very emotive issue in sales teams, given that most stressors are the managers themselves.

Thank you gents for your imput.
I have come across a few instances of rep's being robbed of their laptops & phones so i feel they should be aware of the potential, so its just not the rep's carrying expensive samples.
I think the stress issue is critical and have included it under discussing workplans and objectives as well as keping appointments!
