Posted By Lukasz Am i allowed to put signs today which are saying NO SMOKING, It is against the law to smoke in these premises? I know smoke ban is coming in to life from 01.07 but if we look on that from side that these law is placed by employer.

You could put it next to the sign that says in your building black is white (grin).
Personally, I think it would confuse an issue that has yet to be understood by people, but there is nothing to actually stop you.

Posted By ian milne If the company implements this rule in advance then yes you can. But it may be worthwhile doinga campaign with your staff to give them teh facts and not the gossip.
Signs can be downloaded off various websites as well.

Posted By Alan Hoskins Following the introduction of the ban in Wales, we began installing signs from the date that the legislation took effect.
For a short period though, some of our buildings were not strictly legal because they did not have the sign displayed at entrances as is required by the legislation. In theory we could have been prosecuted!
