Hi Guys,

We have a guy who had an accident in October last year, this was an LTA, he is now asking for company insurance details and all other details, (reports, risk assements etc), to do with his accident. My question is "What do we need legally to give him"? Many thanks in advance.

Hi, I assume the request is from the "guy" and not a representative/lawyer?. Unfortunately you will have to give him or his rep most things relating to his alleged injury. Including risk assessments copy of the accident report etc. We are now finding that lawyers are asking for stuff via the freedom of information act..basically we still have to give them the stuff just have to do it in a shortet time scale..I also assume (I know never assume) that he is making a claim against you? consult you lawyers make sure you don't give out anything that may incriminate you/your company.

Hope this helps.

Let your solicitors handle it there are strict rules of disclosure you must comply with, its their job to manage this not yours.
