Can anyone point me in the direction of definitive 'guidance' on the use of mobile cranes with respect to potential lightning storms. I'm aware of a of BS7121 pt 3, but wonder if there is further information available.

There is a small part in BS7121 part 1.

You need a copy of LOLER and look at Regulation 8. (HSE Books)

If weather forecasts are predicitng lightning then the use of mobile cranes should be avoided.
