Hi All,

I am trying to incorporate responsibility for health and safety, environment and energy into the job specs/profiles for every person within my firm. So as to improve my chances of getting this action authorised, I'm trying to come up with a brief sentence that basically says it all. I want to make it clear that compliance with health and safety rules, respect for the enviroment and energy savings are the respobsibility of all. This could then be added to the bottom of all job profiles and vacancy adverts to show our committment from the start.

Can anyone recommend any typical wording which they have seen used in the way previously. I'm usually good at this sort of thing but have been sitting staring at a blank piece of paper now for hours and nothing quite sounds right.

Any assistance/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Have any of you implemented a similar idea in any of your orgnisations?

Kind regards,
kelly Holifield

Kelly,

Can I reccommend.....

'It should be clear that compliance with health and safety rules, respect for the enviroment and energy savings are the responsibility of all'

to quote an IOSH forum poster: Kelly-Anne Holifield.

I think you have already found a sentence!?

Hi Kelly-Anne, what about something along the lines of:

H&S is an integral part of the general running and management of this company. Compliance with and assimilation of H&S duties is a major factor in the productivity of our firm and as such is considered to be of equal importance to all other activities.

That was off the top of my head so apologies if it's not what you are looking for.

Cheers
Rob

I will let you know - I'm going to give the Enviromental manager and the Energy manager my (our) thoughts and see if they approve.

Have a good weekend everyone and thanks for the support.
