Is this an overhead system with the grab wire for emergency stops?

I am not aware of any maximum length stipulations. One solution to ensure effectiveness is to pass the wire through fixed rings at regular intervals (5 metres or so). This reduces the ammount of pull required to engage the emegency stop.

Would this work for you?
