Hi peeps.
I was asked yesterday, while carrying out a H&S audit of a secondary school, how far apart signage warning persons not to climb a palisade type perimeter fence should be. (The school has about 2.5 km of this fencing!) I have googled without success, and wondered if anyone knew of any legislation out there that I can refer to.

I personally would use a llittle common sense and just ,ake sure it was placed at strategical points. Say onn corners, near aids to climbing such as trees, exchange boxes, bust stop etc.

Have you try putting in the legislation in relation to safety signs.
HSE Website will have leaflets on it I am sure.
I have slide from presentation if you would like. It gives a good idea of how far away the sign should be to see. Different sizes, different distances
