Hi
I'm still relatively new to the h&s, but have been asked to create Daily Task Activity Risk Assessment for office staff, who also do property viewings.
Can anyone help me, know where to look for a sample, or have one ready for me to have a look at on what should be taken under consideration.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Anna,
As a starter for 10 have you checked the HSE website? They have a few examples of basic risk assessments, an office based one too which although not comprehensive for your requirements may start you on the right track.

Hi Anna,
I noticed that you said some staff do property viewings. Have a look at the literature from the Suzy Lamplugh trust. You will need to ensure that someone in the office has each persons itinery and due back time. This would form part of your RA.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I have already looked at HSE and unfortunately couldn't find what I needed. I'm not actually looking for a way how to do an office risk assessment. I need to look at the matter from the employees point of view and analyze each one of their daily tasks at work, like filing, opening the post, etc.
Thank you.

With respect, why are wasting your time on such a trivial exercise? Workplace RAs should take into account significant risks, not paper cuts from opening envelopes. Take it from me, even the HSE will not be issuing an Improvement Notice for not completing RAs for opening envelopes or filing.
If I have misunderstood your posting I apologies in advance.

I agree with Ray that you should only look at the significant risks, if the EU had won their case you would have been risk assessing paper clips and pot plants but foryunately common sense prvailed. For offices a list could be:
I deal with quite a few offices and issue generic risk assessments rather than lists but horses for courses.

I do fully agree with both of your comments. I do not see the reason why we need it, however both: our H&S advisers and people above me think, that is what we need.
The risk of injury in each office (unless very site specific) is relatively too small to go too much into every little detail.
I will see what I can come up with, and if it's not good enough, they can amend it themselves.
Thank you for all your comments.
