Posted By Mir-cat Can anybody point me to the best place (without having our own Occ health nurse or a doctor) to find out about the common illnesses etc which could be contagious in a team environment? e.g. things like Rubella with pregnant women. Trying to put together a comprehensive list but struggling a bit. Thanks in advance

Posted By Lilian McCartney www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk The above website has a common illness A-Z which also has routes to other sites if more info is required. It has causes, symptoms, how transmitted etc in it. I find it very useful Lilian

Posted By Richard Beevers Mircat, You say 'team environment'. What does the team do? Where do they work? Unless it's something specialised like working with already infected paitients in hospital, or animals with zoonoses, or homless clients with hight TB or HepA prevalences, then your teams exposure is probably just the same as the man in the street. There are some problems with isolated teams e.g. oilrigs, where contagious diseases need more careful thought. Al.
