Posted By Jay Does anybody know if you are required by law (or is it best practice) to have the permission / consent of a parent of 17 year old if they are to work on a building site? They are 1 year into an apprenticeship and will be supervised. In depth Method and risk assesment have been done.

Posted By Adam Hammerton You are only required to inform parents of the findings of risk assessments for those who have not yet reached minimum school leaving age (last Friday in June of the year of their 16th birthday) however it might be beneficial to provide information to the young person that can be passed on to their parents to ease any concerns they may have (as a parent I would certainly like to know some basics if possible).
