In my opinion this type of totally generic manual being sold reflects a misunderstanding of how sensible and proportionate risk management should be applied in a business. I have several clients who have been sold these folders of generic paper in the past who have now had to call on me to put in proper well considered and relevant processes in their business. My view is get a copy of the OHSAS standard and apply it logically following a sensible assessment of your business risks. Also, you don't have to do it this way, you can put in place a system that works for you based on models such as HS(G)65. Good luck Ian

Posted By Robert K Lewis I am not employed by a certifying body at this time. However I do aften audit these systems for client organisations. These standard documents say nothing about the company and its systems but simply repeat legislation etc in a form of words. I cannot answer for or comment on an organisation,who make 3rd party certifications, advertising such materials Bob
