Posted By Richie Hello all, An interesting show regarding HSE resources is available on Radio 4 listen again - http://www.bbc.co.uk/rad...ranscript_20070727.shtmlThe above link takes you to the transcript but there is a listen again function available also. I found the show interesting, although there was no mention of IOSH they did go to other charities and organisations. Taking a wider perspective, is there appetite for a power-bar item or a discussion group, maybe titled 'Media-Watch'? I am specifically thinking of safety related (not necessarily IOSH related) items in the media, which members may wish to comment upon. I only mention this because it is very apparent that the media is becoming important to IOSH members, taking up many column inches in SHP etc. Richie

Posted By John Murgatroyd No responses, what a surprise. My union "hierarchy" foresee the final demise of the HSE sometime within the next 3-5 years. Its "replacement" will almost certainly be a paper shuffling agency to oversee the voluntary observation of regulations by various companies. The next stage of third-world-isation of employment in an attempt (doomed to failure) to lower employment costs.
