Posted By Jim Masson Can I have your advice please?
On checking through previous years statistics I have come across an incident where there was a substantial delay in 1) notifying the accident to H & S and 2) seeing his doctor for a sick line.
Accident (twisted ankle) occured day 1 reported to H & S day 5 at work, no complaints sick note presented day 14
then signed off for 5 weeks resigned from company after 5th week.
Should this have been an over 3 day lost time notification?

Posted By Shane J Did the accident happen at work and was the injured party out of work for more than 3 consecutive working days as a result?
Advice would be to make H&S policy on same day reporting of accidents very clear to all employees.
Doesn't seem like there's a lot you can do if it has happened over a year ago.
