Just to let you know OSHAS 18001:2007 has been published and supersedes OHSAS 18001:1999.
I'm off to read through it all and update my SMS!

Posted By Sean Fraser From what I can tell, there is little real change in intent, mainly in terminology and alignment with the other 2 Standards. Key change is the emphasis on continual improvement where it was a side issue before. There has been one clause merge so if you have specifically mentioned 18001 clauses in your documentation it will need revised.
Upshot I suppose is that any changes are mainly cosmetic. Systems that complied before are highly likely to remain compliant!
The new version has a good introductory section summarising the changes.
