Posted By POC Hi All, Has anyone got a definitive list of what should be contained in a First Aid Kit.
I have done my RA etc and want to compare what I have come up with, with an independant other.
Thanks

Posted By Dan Malone Hi POC In Ireland the HSA have a guide line. Try the link below. www.hsa.ie/files/file_20...staid_listofcontents.pdfThe HSE have a leaflet with their recommendations. www.hse.gov.uk/pubns/indg214.pdfthey are both nearly the same. Also remember that if there are specific risk that you should prepare for these. In my job this is Calcium gluconate gel for Hydrofluoric Acid burns. Hope this helps. Regards Dan Malone

Posted By Ben Keen At risk of stating the obvious I would suggest contacting the Rail Industry First Aid Association. http://www.rifaa.com/

Posted By Phil If you look on the HSE website under first aid they will give you some recommendations for a basic kit for first aid at work.
If any special circs drop out of the R.A you need to cover these too.
Our crews in remote locations are given a trauma bag too, containing de-fib, O2, specialist airways and burns kits etc.
It just depends on how far you take it.
Phil
