Oil Spillages : Waste

If we have small oil spillages from our vehicles in our garage area and use spill kits to clean them up does the resulting "waste" etc come under the heading of "hazarous waste"?
If so what do we need to do about this type of senario?

Short answer is "yes" - same as oily rags.

Granules can often be used again, until they become saturated. Once completely soiled, they should be stored in a sealed drum (or other suitable method) until you have a sufficient quantity to make collection / disposal cost effective. Your local friendly waste carrier can advise.
