Posted By Tina Hansen Does anyone know what the risks and benefits of loading steel stock and pallets from curtain sider / flat bed vs solid container-type lorries? Are they equally safe during when driving on public roads, etc?
Any help and comments would be greatly appreciated.

Posted By Renny Thomson Solid containers present problems with access and mechanical handling. All loads, even in containers shoud be adequately secured. If it moves in transit it can cause instability or it can escape, even from a steel container!
It may be easier to secure the load where there is good access i.e a flat bed, curtain sider or specialist stell carrying trailer
