I have been asked to put together a brief for an audit of an office environment.

I have identified the following areas for investigation/measurement and wondered if anyone could point out omissions or maybe send me a template for something similar.

Air quality - Humidity, Temperature, Ventilation, Contaminants

Electromagnetic radiation - Ambient levels, Equipment specific levels

Lighting - Ambient daylight, Room lighting, Supplementary lighting, Glare

Noise - Ambient levels, Equipment specific levels

Ergonomics

Water Quality -Contaminants

Grateful for any advice you may be able to offer.

cheers

Gary

As a ps - Ergonomics are not part of an environmental audit. You are thinking along S&H lines rather than environmental.

Gary: To clarify: are you looking for an 'office environment' audit (for H&S) or an office 'environment audit'?.... Your title appears to the latter, but most of your examples appear to be the former..

If it’s the latter then - to expand a little on Bobs posting -
The audit will need to examine the policy, performance standards and target setting processes for
Waste - Avoid, reduce; re-use; recycle
Energy - Reduce, Air con / temperature, Insulation, glazing, furnishings
Transport - proximity of public transport, policies on car use / car share / bike subsidy / home working
Employment – Family friendly – hours of start and finish (avoid peak hours commuting etc)
Procurement - local sourcing

Not sure if these help at all...

All

Thanks for the guidance, info & help

My description of what is required is indeed pretty poor.
I need an office environment audit/study from a H&S perspecive rather than an environmental study.

I think I have what I need to move forward, so thanks once again.

cheers
