overalls for brickayers and joiners

I am trying to implement joiners and bricklayers wearing overalls in a training environment , are there any guidelines to supprt this?

I have not required trainee plasterers to wear anything other than safety footwear, at a private plastering college here in the west country. Gloves and goggles available for some tasks.

There are a few brickies left on site from the late 50s early 60s who might be found with overalls on. They do cover the small of the back.
