Bizarre Request
I am working for a manufacturing company and we have a couple of ladies who have to wear the hard hats when entering into the warehouse. I am trying to source the pink hard hats but not having much luck, is there anybody out there that can help please.

They are usually on eBay, I purchased one for my PA last year, it was £9.99 and complies.

Hang about ! Why pink just for the ladies ? I might fancy that myself.
The last (only) person I knew to wear pink PPE was a large, hairy, red-bearded scots plant manager. (known for wearing his kilt on high days and holidays) (we exchanged wrist watches (old consultant joke))
He wore pink hearing protection to show visible solidarity with his laddies.

Many thanks for the replies to my request, having read your e.mails I am glad that I have brought a smile to some of your faces over the weekend.
The websites are good, I was hoping there may have been a UK based supplier, looks like there is a niche in the UK market for pink safety products for the ladies, ooopps sorry, musn't be sexist, for you blokes as well who like to wear pink!

Reminds me of the time I did some work for a BA manufacturer whose product turned out to be quite a success. As a "thank you" they sent me a gold hard hat which I must admit I have not had the nerve to wear on site & sits in the office gathering dust!

Jayne,
I was just wondering if you looked up the GirlyLock website and if so what you thought of it.

Hi Melissa
I did not use that website, I will have a look though.
I finally got a pink hat from Charm and Hammer, this is an american based company which provides safety working gear for women, the only down side was that it cost me inlcuding post from America £18.00, but well worth it!

£9 buy it now on a well known auction site with all relevant quality marks if anyone else wanted one. No, nothing to do with me, I just happened to notice them.

Jayne,
If you have time do check out the site. GirlyLock is also an american based company that is owned and operated by a female contractor. They are also a female minded work wear company and do a great deal of business with England and other European countries. They have only been in business for 1 1/2 years but are trying to build their product line. Not an easy feat without major backing.
Thanks for respopnding after the huge gap from your posting date.
