What a terrible way to end up on a friday evening. Not the first trench collapse here, and no doubt not the last.

Hi Seamus.

As someone who has investigated over 30 fatalities, and currently involved in a substantial workload in expert witness cases, I long since learnt not to speculate on the basis of what is said in the media about accidents, especially in the immediate aftermath.

Regards, Peter

Hi Peter

Thanks for your reply,
I was just thinking that with all the safety courses , safety equipment, previous deaths from trench collapses, even the previous fines as a result of deaths in trenches, the same things occur, and will occur again.

I know you are correct not to speculate on the media reports,Time will produce some sort of a report,

Seamus
