Hi we're looking for loading bay lighting on an arm which can swing into the back of trailers illuminating them. I've seen them befroe but searching the web I can't find anything close - anyone know of a supplier ?

I've used similar equipment in the past. Can't recall manufacturer/supplier either.
I would approach outdoor event organisers as they use all manner of temp. lighting gantries etc.
Also, you could try highway maintenance contractors as they use similar gear on nightshift jobs.
I would imagine One of them will point you in the right direction.

We made our own, for exactly the same purpose, from the extruded aluminium framing systems available commercially. It has sectional arms with hinged joints. In addition I have provided festoon with both hooks for attaching to the high level lashing points and magnetic if these are not accessible.

If you do find suitable lighting make sure that it wont be in the way of your MHE that will be loading the trucks.
I have used similar types of lighting in previous roles and in nearly all cases they have suffered from a lot of damage or indeed caused accidents wehn the MHE operator has driven into it.
Inclusion of the lighting on maintenance and inspection regimes is very important.
