Andrea,

I recently purchased an excelent fire training package on ebay. £6.99 with free postage. I know ebay does get some bad reports but this is excellent. It contains a few videos, lots of power point presentations with good information and risk assessment forms in Word format. I suggest you give it a try.

I also purchased a CD from Ebay and was aghast to find a substanial part of the material being sold was my work!

I bought it looking for new ideas and all I got was stuff that I had put together over a few years and had issued in training courses.

I wonder if it was the same company. Email me privately. If it was and anybody else wants the CD then let me know I'll send out copies of the CD to anybody who asks for whatever it costs me copy it and post it.

I'm really annoyed that this guy is selling mine and other peoples stuff without putting in any real effort of his own.

I hope you reported this seller to E-Bay? They normally take breach of copyright pretty seriously if you can prove it.

Chris has emailed me privately as requested. The company that he names are not the same company that sold me my material. At the time I bought the material I contacted the seller and expressed my opinion. My understanding was that he was going to refrain from selling my material again. When I saw Chris's message I had this nasty feeling that it was the same person. It was my intention to send out the CD only if it was the same person because I did not want him making money off of my back. As it is not and it is not my intention to stop anyone from making money from their own hardwork then I will not be sending out the CD. I apologise if anyone was misled by what I had said. I have been contacted by a number of people since posting the message and it would seem that there is a demand for a CD of this type.

Due to the number of requests I have had I will look at making my own fire related compilation that will include powerpoint training packages that I have used for presenting basic fire training, fire marshall training, NEBOSH Diploma courses and fire safety management courses. I will also include some fire risk assessment proformas and some excel spreadsheets for calculating various fire related problems such as flame temperature, heat release rates etc which may be useful for some types of fire risk assessment.
