Hi
I have just been issued the task of reviewing the codes of practice and risk assessment for the operation of a boating lake. i could do with some ideas where to look for any specific guidance etc. I have the obvious hazards of drowning, disease etc. but it is more specifics like how many boats to look after, what mandatory qualifications are needed. i cannot find anything specific in Google or HSE web site etc.
Any help would be great.

Hi Ian.

RoSPA have published a book on Safety at Inland Watercourses which provides guidance on risk assessment.

Try the Maritime & Coastguard Agency who also have authority over many inland waterways - if nothing else there are a number of links to other organisations such as British Waterways.
