Sorry didn't see the thread until today.
What is the depth and size of the quarry.
I would identify the possible ignition sources i.e fuels,vehicles, plant, offices etc , their location in respect of the access to and from the quarry in relation to workers.
What number of employees are you dealing with.
What alternative routes do you have.
What equipment and training do you have in place for the team to tackle any subsequent fire.
Hope this helps to start you thinking in respect to what you can see.
