Posted By Tony Priest Hi Lee, Revolving doors can obstruct the passage of persons escaping and must not be placed across escape routes unless non-automatic swing doors of the required width should be provided immediately adjacent to the revolving door.
This is a requirement of The Building Regulations (2000 edition incorporating the 2002 amendments) and are the general provisions common to buildings other that dwellinghouses.
This means that buildings built or have been re-furbished after 2000 must meet these requirements.
