Many counties have local acts relating to fire.
Why is this? Surely a fires in different counties don't present any unique problem. Also how can I obtain a copy of an act they are not in the statuelaw website which is my usually reference.

Philip, from memory, the Fire RRO repealed vast swathes of these and revoked a whole load of Regs too. It was one of the reasons the new legislation was introduced.

Surely "Acts" are defined as Acts of Parliament (legal interpretation), and counties/LAs would be limited to bye-laws?
Always presuming you are asking in a UK context!
