Posted By Pete Longworth Hello Sharon I did some work on this when it was first brought in at Baxi. The polystyrene you are using, or were using then, had been treated to make it flame retardent to a certain extent. If it is set alight it should not support a flame. The big thing with storing polystyrene is the possibility of hexane being released, but I think that is mainly a problem with granular polystyrene stored in tubs. If you store yours in a well ventilated area away from heaters etc you should be OMK Unfortunately it was Nick Cornwell who was leading he project so he has left. At that time it was delivered straight to line side and storage was minimal. I can't remember the name of the guy in PCD who was involved but one of the PQA lads will know. If I can dig anything up I will let you know.
