There can only be one Principal Contractor and one CDM-C.
The CDM-C is appointed by the Client, it is his responsibility to submit the F10.

Posted By Robert K Lewis I'm sad that the update was so bad but unfortunately there are some around that are more concerned with purely outlining the legislation rather than looking at the effects.
As stated the CDM C is responsible for making the notification and is formally employed by the client as adviser. My current fear is that contractors are compromising the independence of the role by utlising the active construction staff to fulfill the duties and functions. The role needs to be independent of such control and proper information barriers need to be in place otherwise how can the CDMC formally advise the client?

Posted By mrs.seed just wanted to point out that the CDM-C can be an organisation, not just an individual. Hope that doesnt muddy the waters too much. If it is a company then I would suggest a single point of contact within that company to coordinate the coordinators duties.

Better still the CDMC should rarely be an individual!! Which is the intent of the regulations and guidance.

But the goood news strangely is that
Ken Dodd's Dads Dead Dog's Dad is not Dead
Nothing to do with CDMC though but is more important don't you think?
Have a good day
