Posted By Tom Bailey Within the telecommunication and computer industry there is a phenomenum called zinc whiskers. This is where tiny fibres of zinc break away from zinc electroplated steel floor tiles. There is growing and well documented evidence that these 'whiskers' which are the size of asbestos fibres can damage electronic equipment. Does anyone know if there is evidence that they are hazardous to health? Many thanks
