At present I am looking for TOOLs that best fit assessing tasks within the company relating to WRULD's, I am also putting a project together on the best way to manage the MSD's in the company for Managers and Supervisor and any training or assessment tools would be great.
Also when does a work related upper limb become work related. what evidence would determin it to be one. who is classed as the specialist
This is my first time on the forum and I hope this is the sort of this for it.

With regards to the tool you require have a look at the HSE websit. They have designed a MAC Assessment Tool which is used for assessing manual handling. There are also DSE assessments for assessing computer workstations. A lot will depend on the type of industry you are in.
With regards to when does WRULD become work related. It becomes work related if they have injured themselves at work or whilst carrying out work activities. If you suspect person was not injured at work it is up to you to prove otherwise.

There was a very good demonstration of the use of the 'Quick Exposure Checklist' (QEC) developed by the Robens Centre at Surrey University for ULD risks at the recent food industry H&S conference at Chipping Camden. Posted By Yun Kit QEC tool by Roben Institute is a very quick and easy tool. Its best features i would say will be that its easy to use, quick and comes with simple risk assessment. I had been using it ever since been introduced to it. You can easily access to it at http://osha.europa.eu/index_html
