I was wondering what exactly is required in order to become a trainer in the likes of manual handling, MEWP training or Erecting Mobile Tower Scaffolds?

The reason I ask is that it would be beneficial to the company to be able to provide on site instead of seeking outside companies.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ronan. Obviously you would need to have competence in the subject you wish to train in.
I also suggest you enquire to CIEH about their 3 day Professional Training Certificate course.
Its very good and I would recommend it.

Ronan,

In relation to erecting mobile tower scaffolds, The PASMA (Prefabricated Aluminium Scaffold Manufacturers Association) web site has information on how to gain accreditation to run their courses.

Hope this helps

IPAF should be consulted about a training qualification for MEWPS

There are many building colleges that offer such training. Check out your local ones.
