Posted By isfew Dear all,
Wondered if anyone could help with the following?
Like I suspect many other company's do with their empty premises, we rent our empty buildings to small tenant companies. While I think all the legal stuff is taken care of, I have concerns regarding what health and safety information we may have to provide them with. Can anyone provide me with some advice?
Many thanks,
Ian.

Posted By Bob Shillabeer This is a tricky question. How is the premises let? Are you acting on the premises or is the whole premises under the control of the tennent. It is often not a case of who owns the building but who operates it. For example if the Building owner lets the building to a tennent but has its own staff responsible for common ares such as the building entrace lobby and stairways eyc, the "landlord" is responsible with the tennent responsible for his areas. If however the whole building is managed by the tennent then the tennent is the respopnsible person but must consult the landlord to get things done.
As I said not a straight forward situation, so consult with the building owner and agree who will be responsible for what.
