Posted By skooter1 Morning all,
Has anyone got a MDF or hard wood presentation on PowerPoint I could have a look at please.
I have just moved to a new company and they have an onsite workshop where they work with MDF and Hard woods.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Posted By Jim Walker Skooter,
I rarely participate in the forums these days as they have become rather......... well I won't say otherwise the merderators will be after me again. However given the rather silly responses you have had thus far:
I'm no expert but suggest you look at HSE website and then go to woodworking (drop down in your industry).
There is some stuff there about wood dusts.
And lots of other stuff that you will find useful for a wood shop.
Have a bit of a google for stuff but beware of the source & age.
Whilst you are at HSE site have a look under COSHH & dusts & Local exaust ventilation.
There was some ooh ahh a few years back about cancer & MDF but as the MDF formulation has now altered this has to some extend gone away. I believe the USA are still a bit panicky but they are always a few years behind.
MDF dust should be treated like any wood dust. Its worst than some from the point of view its a lot finer.

Thank you Jim, your words of advice have helped me find what I was looking for from one H&S professional to another.
@ Sharon: Why would you ask me to look at: "should we as H&S professionals give out safety information to inexperienced and not yet competent requests on this website" ?
Are you really calling me inexperienced and not yet competent? I thought this site was here to help not to judge.
