Posted By Phil Rose Hi, does anyone have any information on a company that provides manual handling training specifically for wheelie bins used in refuse collection rounds?

Posted By TONY Without knowing what knowledge you hold on this you could write a course and get a qualified trainer to present it. You need to look at the environment: Uneven or slippery surfaces, Pushing and pulling up up hills ie drive ways, adverse weather rain, sleet, snow and working in the sun. PPE hi vis, gloves, safety shoes etc Loading onto vehicles and movement of vehicles. Individuals capabilities and so on. This is only a guide If it was me doing it i would sit down and assess the job and write my a course tailor made for my staff.

Posted By Ian Blenkharn Contact Encams and/or DEFRA they are compiling a list of tutors/trainers for all aspects of training like this, to be posted on the localenvironmentalskills.org web site. Just spending an hour right now compiling my own entry! Ian

Posted By Phil Rose Many thanks for the responses so far. I am trying to avoid re-inventing the wheel on this one so if anyone knows of any trainers that have already developed a training package or course for this that would also be helpful. Thanks again for the responses so far - Phil
