Hi

Has anyone heard of any new legislation regarding the disposal of waste from a biological research facility.

I've heard that using double bags for things like pipette tips, and plastic pipettes is no longer going to be acceptable.

The work we're doing is not of a highly hazardous nature, but our waste is autoclaved and incinerated as a matter of course. I'm hearing that we'll have to use more rigid bags/boxes soon.

Has anyone else heard this or is it the rep trying it on.

Thanks
Graham

If it was me, I would ask the rep to state their source of information, thereby allowing yourselfs to check for accuracy.
