In response to your "interval" question. Low risk assessments that do not contain improvement actions are reviewed within my organisation 3-yearly, as advised. However, this is normally overtaken by "management of change" events such as new equipment being installed, new personnel in place, changes in medical needs of staff, and of course, the movement of teams to new accommodation.

Can't comment on your Para 2, due to lack of information.

The only way to manage DSE is to undertake an initial assessment and educate the work station operator as to the legal requirements and instruct them what to do about any changes that occurr and manage them as and when they arise. Yes DSE is an ongoing task generally of simple action, but there are some cases that need some sort of intervention. Most cases are managed because the kit is replenished quite regularly but some don't change, it is horses for courses and some people may need a new assessment others not. The answer is to do an assesment as and when necessary, don't tie yourself down to a set frequency it is a living beast that needs proactive management.
