I have been working in the construction/civil engineering industry as an SEQ Manager for 20 years. I have the opportunity to move into electrical distribution safety and looking for a suitable familiarisation course of a 1-2 week duration. My new role will primarily be looking after engineers working on overhead HV cables.

Any suggestions on applicable courses would be greatly appreciated

try your local power transmission company - I know that Scottish Power deliver a number of courses relating to HV and LV work.

I would not be surprised if you local equivalent did the same.
