Hi, I'm new to the formus and this is my first post (obviously)!

Anyway, could anyone give me some advice on completing a Risk Assessment for a pregnant women? Or even better, give me some info on one that is already complete.

I'm only 12 months into my first safety job and this is the first time I've had to deal with this.

Thanks in advance.

Guessing this is not a pre pregnancy risk assessment you are looking for, I believe the HSE website contains the information you seek regarding pregnant employees ;-)

Remember that it is not just the pregnant individual that the assessment should take account of. The assessment must encompass any risks to: the pregnant worker (consider each of the three trimesters as review points); the unborn child (some physical hazards, some chemical hazards); the nursing mother; the nursing child (at least 6 months post partum - esp working with lead/derivitives); the worker post partum where they have been subjected to caesarian section (manual handling); where you have agents which are cytotoxic or harmful in any way to the reproductive organs, you must also consider the implications to any 'female of reproductive capacity'.

Have fun

Lee,

Using the word "pregnant" on the EHS web site you will find the attached sub-web site as a starter:
