Posted By Lloyd Briscoe Back in August 2005, Adam Jackson started a thread on this forum about something called the National Safety Organisation. I have just entertained a phone-call from a young man named 'Paul', - perportedly representing the National Safety Organisation. He said that the NSO was an affiliate of the HSE He wanted to know how many staff we employed, if we had vehicle workshops on site, how many fitters, etc.. When I challenged him about his organisation, stating that I'd never heard of it he quickly terminated the conversation and hung up. It's clearly a scam, but I'd be interested if any other colleagues have had such an experience recently. Lloyd

Posted By olausroe I've just had a call from this "group" at 10:10am on 26.03.08. They said they "we're part of the DTI and they wanted to send out the latest safety information." They requested our address details. I suggested all our details were available through Companies House at which point they read off a 3 year old address. (Which was obviously on a database.) As I talked with them I Googled the organisation and read some of these postings to them. They ended the call quickly, problem solved!

Posted By olausroe Wish I'd known that! What I'm interested to know is what they are selling.

Posted By Tony abc jprhdnMurphy I too had a call. I asked for their number so I could call back but the phone went dead.I did report this to the HSE some time ago as I took a call from somebody who introduced herself as working for the HSE. I too would like to know what they are selling, it might be worth buying.

Posted By Paul Leadbetter No, it isn't, Tony, or they wouldn't be so ready to ring off. Paul
