Hi all,

I am reviewing our list of current/ relevant legislation and have come across a puzzling situation.

Employers liability (Compulsory Insurance) is listed in various locations on on the net(OPSI and UK statute law database) as being an ACT from 1969 and a Regulation from 1998.

Its the first time I have come across a piece of legislation with the same name in an act and a regulation. The main question is are they both still in force? as far as I can tell the regulation has not repealed the Act.

help! my brain is completely frazzled, thank goodness its Friday!

Cheers
Matt.

They are both still in force, the regs were drawn up under the Act. The HSE did issue guidance a year or so ago on this.
