Posted By Tolulope Jack I would like to know who is responsible for the actual cleaning of PPE?Is it the users or their employers/managers?Is it right for the users to take their PPE off site for cleaning considering the potential hazards it might cause (eg residuals of chemicals, dust etc)?

Posted By David Whaley Tolulope,
It is the responsibility of the employer to make arrangement for cleaning PPE. Depending on what the PPE is and the level of cleaning required will determine how it's cleaned. Risk assessment required.
I would not advocate allowing the employees to take PPE home for cleaning. Although I take home my safety shoes, but the risk of contamination is very low. Again risk assess.
Hope this helps.
