Good afternoon. I wonder if anybody could provide me with some useful links, or share their experience of how they dealt with infection control?

Our company may be required to access the premises of a dental hospital in the course of their works on a future building contract.

What procedures should we be putting in place to ensure that we do not contaminate the area, pass infections between areas, or become infected ourselves? Obviously, there will be local arrangements to comply with anyway.

Don't worry if this seems a little vague, I just want some pointers to go off and do my own research, not scrounging for freebies (unless offered!). Plus, we will be properly prepared come award date, this is just for part of a brief presentation of the general hazards to be considered.

There is actually very little to do, except to liaise closely with the relevant hospital staff (and not just the contract link person or Estates Office), and then do [only] what you have been told to do.

As soemone who is involved to some extent in systems for infection control, you will almost certainly find that the hospital has an infection control department or infection control nurse. You should liaise with them as in my experience each hospital tends to have its own methods and protocols.
