Hi guys.
Heard on the news last night about a new invention! apparently its a type of exercise plate whereby the like of footballers, profetional sports people carry out such things as squats. the thing is the plate vibrates!!. for about fifteen minutes of these exercises it is supposed to give an equivilant of about 1 hours worth of hard training. don't know how intense the vibratios are but when the sportsman was being interviewed his voice was tremblng. Whole body vibration or what?

They are certainly not new, I have been using one in our gym for around 2 years, (not continuously of course).

Great piece of kit. They have been in my gym for a while also (JJB Fitness). Lots of info on the equipment telling you how to use in a safe manner. Plenty of qualified staff available to offer guidance also.

Good way of keeping fit if used in conjuction with other regular exercise. Not to everybody's liking though, can play havoc with loose fillings!

They have 2 of those in the gym I go to too. I only use them on instruction of my physio, as she recommends using them when recuperating from an injury.

However, it would be a lie to say that they can actually help you keep fit. They're allegedly good for strengthening and toning muscles though.
