Posted By Michael Hi All, Twice this week I have had from 2 separate CDM Coordinators a F10 to fill in our companies details, how many men, weeks and any sub contractors. I thought it was down to the CDM-C to gather the information and complete the form, I did do the 1st one but i'm thinking now its going to start a trend. I have been involved in numerous notifiable projects since the change in regs and form format but this has just been this week. Has any others had this experience. Thanks Mike

Posted By Bryan Goldsmith 16052 If I have the contact details of the Principle Contractor I generally phone the Contracts Manager and ask for the information if it has not come out during the project meetings. It has to go to the client for signature before being sent to site or the HSE under CDM 2007 whereas the 94 regs required signature by Planning Superviser and Principle Contractor. It does have to reviewed, updated and re submitted when significant changes occur particularly if the PC or CDM-C change.(Hence Initial or Additional Info boxes) Hope this helps

Posted By R.KINGSTON Michael, They are being lazy, it is the CDM'C responsibility to collate the information for the F10 & PCI, send it back it will be they who then may delay the project...!!!

Posted By Crim The first time a P C should see the F10 is when it has been completed by the CDM-C with the Client signature, and is issued for site.

Posted By Robert K Lewis Speaking from the CDMC viewpoint, the F10 should not have come to the PC. However I am quite entitled to ring or write and ask for the PC to provide in writing any information he currently holds concerning contractor and employee numbers for the site. In reality the the contractor information below PC is not that essential from a HSE stance. They would expect however to find this information on site when they attend. Either by workload schedula and programme or by a CPP document. Bob

Posted By Michael Thanks All, RK I totally agree with you is just lazyness, at most of the design stage meeting I have attended the CDM-C has been present and asked the questions to allow him to fill in the blanks when he goes back to his desk. Just a coincidence that in the same week two different so called CDM-C ask me to fill in the blanks, I did do the first one to be helpful but I've told the second guy NO. Mike
