Hi guys,

I am looking for a GOOD software package for the logging of accidents that also leads onto the investigation part. Ideally with links that if ticked will automatically send an alert to other departments (insurance / property services). This is a system that will need to be used at potentially 400+ locations (offices spread across a variety of buildings). Some will be inputted by the injured party, others on behalf of customers. I've been of one called Revo but have been unable to find it.

Thoughts and personal experiences appreciated

Cheers

Hi Lisa
We use a system which can be run as an online package so can be used on multiple site etc. It will also automatically send out notification emails when an incident / accident is logged and also when it has been updated. It can also be used for action tracking purposes, which can be stand alone or linked directly to the incident. There are 3 stages to each report,
1) initial entry
2) investigation
3) H&S comments / sign off.

A great deal of work was done with the provider of this system to develop it to operate how we wanted it to work.
The system can also produce reports, graphs for incident reports and actions which makes things easier when producing statistics or looking for certain trends etc.

Check out the following link: www.safety-software.co.uk

Hope this is of some help.
Regards
Lee

I recently had a thread pulled for "straying int advertising" when I told a respondant we may have a vacancy coming up soon (no employers names were mentioned).

However threads like this with blatant advertising seem to be left in place.

Can the mods please explain the difference.

Hi, I am the ESH Systems Manager for the Mace Group who has projects worldwide. We utilise a system called SHE Online that manages Accidents, Audits and Actions.

I have found the system very easy to utilise, by ourselves, our clients and all our supply chain; that all have direct controlled access to the data they require.

We have also found that the full trend analysis on good practice as well as areas for improvement, to be essential and an ability not many systems have.

When you undertake a review of the systems available, to establish what you require, I advise you ask all parties to explain how their system utilises the principles of Heinrich and Pareto for trend analysis, as you may find not all understand the principles (which are essential to the trend analysis portion of your system).

The system also comes with a full audit trail capability and automatic notification to the key contacts that need to know about any changes in the status of the action or accident.

I suggest you contact drowbotham@macesustain.co.uk for further details on the system;.

David is a Director for our ESH Consultancy, and has good experience of the system and can arrange a live demo or further information

Hi

I was a principle accident investigator for the MOD(PE) and I am now an ESH systems manager for a global organisation. I cannot unfortunately give anyone any of my advice or experience as the Moderator (see pulled item above) has deemed it against the guidelines on advertising products.

If anyone wishes me to contact me please contact me at my email

sgraham@macegroup.com

and I will pass on the information directly

Last message for this thread….

Just like to say "glad to be of help" to those who have asked for it. If I can pass on my experience of systems, what I have found good and bad and what I think is the best to anyone else, feel free to contact me on my email…. sgraham@macegroup.com ……….

For anyone else who wishes to examine systems of this nature I suggest you look for ones that live up to Pareto and Heinrich principles and can undertake analysis on good practice as well as areas for improvement; so as to follow the principles of applied behavioural science.

Hope I have been of help, as I believe one of the things we all must do as safety practitioners is to try and pass on the knowledge and experience we have learned, even if we have the odd hurdle put in our way that means I cannot do it directly.
