While the PC is doing their work we as a site/business will also be dealing with smaller works within the scope of the bigger project and will therefore be writting PTW for this smaller work - any issues with this? Posted By Robert K Lewis I am with Ron on this but would perhaps ask the question why you want to separate out the other works? The Principal Contractor has the duty to manage the construction work associated with the project and this includes any work linked into the works or within the allocated work area. PTWs therefore need to be under his control in some way even if he is to obtain the permit from you to issue to the contractor. The HSE is actually concerned about the issue of Domestic contractors to the client working within the PCs area of control or interfering in some way with his works. It is often far better to nominate your contractor to the PC under the main contract as it will relieve you of many co-ordination and co-operation issues. Bob
